Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By creating an account or using Grant Lens ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms form a binding agreement between you and MichaelMyers.AI LLC ("we," "us," or "our").

2. The Service

Grant Lens is a web-based platform that helps nonprofit organizations research grant funders, track grant pipelines, and discover grant opportunities using AI-assisted tools. The Service is provided on a subscription basis.

Grant Lens is a research and productivity tool. We do not guarantee that any funder information, AI-generated research, or grant recommendations will be accurate, complete, or current. You are responsible for independently verifying all information before submitting any grant application.

3. Accounts

You must provide a valid email address and create a password to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@grant-lens.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Accounts are for individual use; sharing credentials with other users is not permitted under a single subscription.

4. Subscriptions and Payment

Grant Lens is offered on a monthly subscription basis at the price displayed at the time of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically each month unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time through your account settings or by contacting us at hello@grant-lens.com.

We do not offer refunds for partial months of service. If you cancel, you retain access through the end of your current billing period.

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with 30 days' notice. Continued use of the Service after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.

5. Free Trial

We may offer a free trial period. At the end of the trial, your account will convert to a paid subscription unless you cancel before the trial ends. No charge is made during the trial period.

6. Your Data

You own the data you enter into Grant Lens, including your funder lists, notes, and organization profile. We do not sell your data to third parties.

By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and transmit your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

You may export your funder data at any time using the Export JSON feature. Upon account deletion, your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

7. AI-Generated Content

Grant Lens uses third-party AI services (including Anthropic's Claude) to generate funder research briefs, grant discovery results, and other content. AI-generated content may contain errors, outdated information, or inaccuracies. You should treat all AI-generated output as a starting point for your own research, not as authoritative fact.

We are not responsible for decisions made based on AI-generated content.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or resell the Service
Share your account credentials with others
Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the Service at scale
Submit false or misleading information to the Service

9. Intellectual Property

Grant Lens, its design, code, and branding are owned by MichaelMyers.AI LLC. Your use of the Service does not grant you any ownership rights to the platform itself.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MichaelMyers.AI LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Arizona.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by displaying a notice in the Service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
